The Electra Theatre was opened in 1912 in Newport Pagnell. The front of the building was originally built as a Georgian doctor’s house with an auditorium in the garden behind.
In the early 1930’s it was equipped with a British Acoustic sound system and was re-named Electra Cinema. A favourite hang-out in Newport Pagnell for over 50 years, Mark saw several films there in the 1980’s. The building holds fond memories for many residents in Newport Pagnell and we are privileged to work in such an historic building and take great pride in using The Electra name.
The last film was shown in Electra Cinema in Newport Pagnell in 1987 and now it is home to a diverse mix of small businesses
